Asia Pacific Advanced Intracranial Neuroendoscopy Course 2017
This two day course will be conducted by pioneering surgeons headed by the course director, Charles Teo, MD from The Centre for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery, Australia, who will address the advanced intracranial neuroendoscopy, endoscopic anatomy and its clinical application. Models and cadavers will be used to simulate procedures in a hands-on laboratory setting. Course attendees will have the benefit of expert colleagues providing directions and answering question specific to there minimally invasive approaches.
Definitive Surgical Trauma Care (DSTC) Course
The Definitive Surgical Trauma Care DSTC) Course is developed under the auspices of the International Association for Trauma and Surgical Intensive Care (IATSIC) to address the process of surgical decision-making and operative techniques involved in the management of life-threatening injuries in the trauma patient. The intensive three-day course is a mixture of lecture-based learning, case discussion and hands-on surgical skills training on animal models.
Advanced Laparoscopic colo-rectal Surgery
This course is an advanced level training course focusing on laparoscopic Sigma resection and laparoscopic rectum resection including practical exercises as well as a video transmission of a Live Operation.
Management strategies for orthopedic implant-associated infections
It is our great pleasure to invite you to the first workshops on orthopedic implant-associated infections, jointly organized with the Aesculap Academy and PRO-IMPLANT Foundation, which will be held in Berlin, Germany. During this advanced workshop, evidence-based and up-to-date knowledge of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infections will be critically reviewed and discussed. Infections associated with prosthetic joints, fracture-fixation devices (plates, nails, wires, pins), spinal hardware will be addressed. In addition, management of septic arthritis, vertebral osteomyelitis and complicated soft tissue infections will be discussed.
5TH INTERNATIONAL COURSE ON IMPLEMENTATION IN INFECTION CONTROL
The objective of this course is to provide theoretical concepts and practice case studies about how to establish infection control programmes in healthcare settings. Advanced minimally invasive pediatric surgery
Initially, basic techniques of access, exposure, suturing and knotting in small cavities will be trained on living rats and chickens. The workshop will then focus on specific abdominal, thoracic and even esophageal minimally invasive procedures. We guarantee that participants will be able to perform numerous operations, such as fundoplication, nephrectomy or splenectomy themselves. The course language is English.
